Upcycled Desk
The homeowner of this revived country kitchen came across that early-1900s green desk -- $350 at an antiques shop -- and saw an opportunity for a one time workstation. She improvised a lower shelf with propping basic wood planks throughout the stretchers, to create the piece even more functional.
New Use for an Old Table
The late-1800s Belgian butcher's table, today a kitchen island, still bears traces of newsprint in the table hardworking industrial times. This Georgia home's owner abandoned the Carrara marble counters unhoned to reveal wear. The walls are painted Nation Stove White from Ralph Lauren.
